The relatively young company combines their fresh take on bike design with the willingness to push boundaries to create some seriously rad bikes. A Little History
Transition Bikes is the story of Pacific Northwest shredders quitting their jobs and building bikes, but never forgetting why they got into the business in the first place: a love of shredding. Kevin and Kyle quit their jobs at a telecommunications company in 2001, founded Transition, and began selling bikes in 2003 out of “Kevin’s creepy basement.” With mantras like “Engineered to party” and “Rider owned for life”, you know these guys don’t joke around or compromise when it comes to designing and riding bikes. Their rider owned vision of having fun all the time combined with innovative designs like the GiddyUp Suspension System have propelled Transition into the spotlight of mountain bike manufacturing.
Meant for Shredding
Transition designs their bikes with the intention of aggressive riding, gnarly trails, and sending it. The GiddyUp Suspension System is extremely easy to set up and provides excellent support throughout the entire stroke of the shock so you can use all your travel without worrying about bottoming out. Designed to be active while climbing, rear shock climbing platforms are not necessary. The suspension remains free to smooth out the trail, improve traction and control without sacrificing efficiency. With GiddyUp you can focus on the trail, no remotes, levers or knobs. Thanks to progressive geometry design, the bikes have outstanding stability in gnarly terrain. Shorter chainstays combined with Giddy Up Suspension keep you nimble and in a balanced position on the climb up.
